Louise Robey Resurfaces
August 17, 2008 La Dordogne, France --Actress and singer / songwriter Louise Robey, known internationally for her TV role as the beautiful redhead Micki Foster in Friday the 13th: the Series, has announced, after taking time to raise her child, that she will resume her career.
She will be making special appearances for the DVD release of the first season of the Paramount produced series. The DVD box set is scheduled for international release, including the United States, Canada, and Japan, on September 23, 2008. The thriller series is a long time cult sci-fi favorite and, even before its scheduled released, presales have already placed the DVD among the Top 30 best selling boxed sets and the top 50 best selling among science fiction and fantasy television shows available for home viewing, according to Amazon.com sales figures.
Louise's release of the iconic 80s hit "One Night in Bangkok," from the stage musical Chess, written by Tim Rice and Abba's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus has become a YouTube Internet favorite among celebrity blog-sites. Citing Robey's support from her longtime fan base and her recent husband, the famed photographer Stan Shaffer, Louise will be scheduling appearances worldwide while writing and co-producing her upcoming album with her husband in the South of France.
"I'm looking and feeling better than I have in years, and I'm very excited about the future," said Robey.
